Finale Revisited 2008

Mel & Desray visited Finale in 2008 and retraced Dad’s action on the south side of the River Panaro Bridge when he was severely wounded from sniper fire from the upper windows of the buildings on the town side. It was an action in which he earned the Military Cross for gallantry on the 23 rd Apr 1945, a week before the German surrender in Europe.
